WHY: As Original Peoples indigenous to this continent, we recognize the obligation to organize as students, educators, cultural workers, and culture bearers with elders and youth seeking to form an intergenerational alliance by which we can better address our priorities in local, national and international fora.

The Second Annual International Indigenous Student Leadership Summit is hosted this year by San Francisco Unified School District in collaboration with the Anahuacalmecac International University Preparatory.

The Summit is intended to be capacity building and educational through working meetings where Summit student delegates will examine the state of Indigenous Peoples' rights, methods of organization, and goals for next steps. A basic introduction for youth and educators to international protocols, laws and mechanisms will be included in order to consider these matters adequately. Our aim is to share and analyze our experiences so that we may together reconsider and re-postulate future organizing, action, and aims.
